Far Westerns Long Course - July 28 to 31 2010

4 swimmers qualified for the most important meet for age groupers in Pacific Swimming. All the swimmers were barely recovered from our 3 day league championships and they were back at it 3 to 5 days later. The meet schedule at that point of the season is a true endurance test and will certainly be "massaged" a bit for next year.

Nevertheless, Monica and Jared Sears, James Beard and Anton Zahradnik did a great Job. Monica, qualified in the 400 IM and the 50 free, Jared in the 200 and 100 back, Anton in the 50 back and James in the 50, 100 and 200 free as well as the 50 and 100 back. A total of 10 events from our athletes!


James even qualified for finals in the 100 back (5th place) but unfortunately made a small mistake in his turn that got him disqualified. It was unfortunate and very hard to take, but what a life lesson packed event it was!
